Plastic products have peculiar smell? Don't be afraid, the seven solution can be solved

Plastic products will be distributed out of very unpleasant smell in the process, everybody in the daily life, buy shoes or some plastic products will have some strong plastic taste, the cause of this problem is the problem of the production process, in order to overcome this problem, everybody for a long time since these are committed to reduce odor. Treatment of peculiar smell of plastics

1, the correct use of additives

Catalysts used in the production of polyurethane foam often produce a strong odor and fog on the inner windows of automobiles. The solution to this problem is to find replacements for these amines. In the case of polyhydroxy compounds, polyhydroxy compounds are not only components of the polyurethane chain but also catalytically active.

Phenolic stabilizers used in PVC extrusion or calendaring are often replaced by low odor zinc stabilizers. Heat stabilizer tin is also commonly used in automotive PVC products due to its low odor and low fogging characteristics. 4. Add adsorbent

In polymers, if a small amount of zeolite (an aluminosilicate adsorbent) is filled, it can remove the odor of the material. Zeolites have a large number of crystalline voids, which can capture small molecules of gas that have odor.

Molecular adsorbents have been successfully applied to polyolefin extrusion tubes, injection and extrusion blow containers, isolated packaging materials, extruded outer packing materials and sealing polymers. Molecular adsorbent powder can also be used as a moisture absorbing agent to add water to the plastic to remove moisture. These vapors also contribute to the odour of plastic products.

5, use antibacterial agent

Adding antibacterial agents to plastics can not only reduce the smell, but also retard the aging, discoloration and brittleness of the products. The most commonly used antibacterial agent 10,10'- oxybis phenoxarsine (OBPA), three oxygen two hydroxy phenyl ether (Triclosan), isothiazolin ketone (OIT), pyrithione (Pyrithione). An organic metallic compound containing tin and silver; sometimes used as an antiseptic.

6. Using desorption method

There is also a method of removing odor by placing the plastic in such an odor adsorbent as activated carbon and high surface area silicate. The vacuum treatment environment allows the desorption process to accelerate. Treating plastic particles with a special detergent solution can also help remove odors. In general, these detergents are aqueous or alkaline solutions containing surfactants. These detergents can effectively remove vinyl chloride monomer, styrene, acrylic ester, acrylic monomer and unsaturated hydrocarbons.

7. Add in aromatics

The inclusion of fragrances in plastics does not eliminate unpleasant smells, but they can cover them considerably. In many cases, this is enough. The method can be applied to polyethylene, polypropylene and polyolefin thermoplastic elastomers, which are processed by injection molding, extrusion, or blow molding.

Fragrance retention time is not equal to the molding of life, its retention time depends on the degree of aggregation, volume surface ratio, whether exposure to heat or a humid environment, there will be molded tight air packaging and many other factors. Aromatic agents are generally used in toys, commodities, cosmetics containers, household appliances and garden equipment.
